When you arrive in Gangtok, check into your accommodation and spend the evening at your leisure. You can also go shopping on the famed MG Marg for some one-of-a-kind souvenirs and local cuisines. In Gangtok, spend the night in a hotel.
After a delicious breakfast, you'll depart to see the famed Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake. It has a height of around 3,780 metres, is surrounded by stunning scenery, is home to Brahminy Ducks and many other migrating birds, and is known for its colour shifting phenomenon. Following that, you'll pay a visit to the famous Baba Mandir shrine, where it's said that his soul protects every soldier serving in the Eastern Himalayas' tough high-altitude environment. Later, you can visit Nathula Pass* (closed Mondays and Tuesdays), one of the most important passes on the India-China border junction (at an additional cost). Return to Gangtok for an overnight stay later.
Start your journey to the small town of Lachen by waking up and eating a great breakfast. The road to Lachen passes past the lovely village of Chungthang, near Kanchenjunga, where the confluence of two rivers, the Lachen Chu and the Lachung Chu, may be seen. Enjoy the views of the snow-capped peaks and magnificent alpine meadows as you travel to the settlement located at 9500 feet. You'll be driving via Kanchenjunga National Park, passing through several lovely hamlets. Check into your hotel and have dinner when you arrive in Lachen. Lachen is where you will spend the night.
Start your day with a breathtaking view of the snow-capped mountains and a delicious breakfast*. Begin your journey to Gurudongmar Lake as soon as possible (The Highest Altitude Accessible Lake). The picturesque Gurudongmar Lake will welcome you with a clear reflection of the surrounding Himalayan mountains in its glacial waters. Return to Lachen after this, eat your lunch, and then set out towards Lachung. Explore the huge Bhim Nala Waterfall along the road, which is also known as Amitabh Bachchan Waterfall due to their similar heights. Visit Chungthang's Holy Rock, which is said to contain the footprints of the great Buddhist Saint Guru Padmasambhava. Arrive at Lachung, check into your hotel, and enjoy a delicious meal. Lachung is where you will spend the night.
Wake up to the sounds of Yak's bell and have an early breakfast. Later, head out to explore Sikkim's Valley of Flowers, also known as Yumthang Valley, which is at an altitude of 11,800 ft. Witness the play of colors as the valley showcases vegetation of Primula, Rhododendron, and other colorful alpine flowers. After this, you can also visit Zero Point* which happens to be the last outpost of civilization and the place where three rivers meet amid a panoramic view of snow-clad mountains and picturesque surroundings On the way back, don’t forget to explore the Hot Springs of this region, which are believed to have medicinal properties. After sightseeing, head back to the hotel, have your lunch, and then depart for Gangtok Check-in and overnight stay at the hotel.
You will depart from Gangtok for Darjeeling after a delicious breakfast. Travel through the pathways, which are adorned with stunning views of the Himalayas and adjacent valleys, and don't forget to photograph the amazing snow-capped peaks surrounded by fragrance Tea Gardens. Arrive in Darjeeling and settle into your accommodation, then relax for the rest of the evening. You may also shop for unique souvenirs and handicrafts on Darjeeling's bustling Mall Road. Staying in the hotel for the night.
Start your day at 4 a.m. for an unforgettable experience. Climb to the summit of Tiger Hill to see the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga and the surrounding peaks. After that, go to the famed Batasia Loop (Army Memorial) for a 360-degree panoramic view of Darjeeling, which is bordered by the Eastern Himalayas. Visit the Ghoom Monastery, which houses a 15-foot high Maitreya Buddha statue (crafted from Tibetan clay) that enchants the surrounding area. Return to the hotel for a wonderful breakfast before continuing your sightseeing. Visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed Thursday), Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed Thursday), and Tenzing Rock.
