Kinnaur Valley Tour From Chandigarh

Reach Shimla early in the morning and meet a representative who will give you a quick overview of the tour. You will then meet your road captain who will be leading the entire trip and will brief you about the terrain and will draw out a day-wise final plan. Start your ride by taking the Himalayan Expressway towards Shimla. On reaching Shimla, check in to the hotel and take a rest for a while. In the evening you are free to explore the local markets shopping for souvenirs. Overnight stay at your hotel in Shimla.

Following breakfast, you will travel to Sarahan in the Kinnaur valley. The journey will then take you past Deodar woods, beautiful valley views, snow-capped mountain peaks, and fast-flowing rivers. When you get at Sarahan, check into the hotel and get some rest. Later that evening, visit the small village of Sarahan, which is surrounded by fields and orchards and has slate-roofed cottages that create pastoral perfection. Stay the night in Sarahan.

Get up early in the morning to see one of the most magnificent sunrises on the planet. After a great breakfast, you will depart for one of Kinnaur Valley's most magnificent views. Travel down the Sutlej river until you reach Karcham, where you will turn right and follow the Baspa river until Sangla. Sangla, with its crimson apple orchards and lush cherry trees, is flanked by rugged mountain sides and spreading forests and is home to a high number of Buddhists. In Sangla, stay the night and eat dinner at the hotel.

Wake up to a gorgeous morning and a nice breakfast before heading to Chitkul for an adventure. Chitkul is the final inhabited settlement before the Indo-China border, and it is here that you can dine at the famous 'Hindustan ka Akhri Dhaba.' Return to Sangla after exploring the splendour of Chitkul. Stay the night at Sangla.

You'll retrace your steps down the hill towards Karcham after a great breakfast. Take a right out of Karcham and head towards Powari, another settlement on the Satluj River. Take a left at Powari and head into ReoKong Peo, the district's principal town, from where you will travel to Kalpa. Spend the night in the lovely Kalpa village, which has a stunning view of the Kinnaur Kailash mountains. In Kalpa, spend the night at a camp/homestay.

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will go to Narkanda, Himachal Pradesh's fruit bowl. You'll first travel down to Powari, where you'll turn right onto NH 5, which follows the Satluj River. To get to Narkanda, take the winding roads that follow the Satluj River and pass through the lush Deodhar forests. Stay the night in Narkanda.

Start your travel back to Chandigarh after breakfast at the hotel. The roadsides are lined with apple and cherry trees, while the big Deodhar fir trees fill the air with their wonderful scent. You'll pass via Chail, a hill station in the lower Himalayan range with gorgeous flower orchards, along the trip. When you arrive in Chandigarh, your unforgettable journey of the Kinnaur Valley comes to a close.
